Windows 10: Set download location for windows store

When i change the download location for windows store to another drive it asks if i want to delete the apps on there. I don't I have a 1TB HD with a designated folder but the only option is to set the drive. What would be deleted if i select yes? I presume the drive would be formatted which I don't want. This seems like a major limitation of windows store. Can i not select a folder to download my apps to?


If there is no solution to this I would like a refund for my game pass as i cannot use it if i cannot set a download location

This issue could occur due to incorrect location settings or it would depend on your IP address. We suggest you to check the location settings of your PC, and check if it helps. Here are the steps:

• Click the Start button, and select Settings.
• Go to Privacy, and choose Location.
• Make sure that the Location service is On.

If issue persists, then it has something to do with your IP address. It’s because the location detected depends on the location set on your IP address.

Cortana and Location Settings

This issue may occur if location settings are not turned on for Cortana.

To turn on location settings for cortana, I suggest you to try these steps and check if it helps.

  Click on Start Button and type Location in the search.

The corrupted user profile does not function normally such as not launching
