Windows 10: set password

My friend had some issues with his laptop and did some disk stuffs which he clearly has no idea about and now the finger print does not read. He always used to sign in with fingerprint and forgot the pin he set up. And also he is not signed in to his microsoft acc.

The things we tried:

1. booting in safe mode: for some reasons windows does not boot in safe mode

2. use the "net user" cmd to add a new user but windows does not show any new users


Is there any way to fix the issue?

If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.
