Windows 10: Setting up a live stream for church

As church services are cancelled I am setting up a live streaming system for the local church using an embedded YouTube video in the church's web site. This works OK on the trial home setup - webcam and a microphone plugged in by USB into my PC. Problem is that I can't get it to work using the laptop that would go down to the church. It insists on using its built in camera.
The YouTube live streaming dashboard does give the option to select camera and sound source. The sound source choise shows the microphone options - laptop or external microphone, but the camera option does not see the external camera.
The external camera is recognised in control panel but with no option to make it default.
Basically the setup is identical between PC and laptop but PC works, laptop will only work using its built in camera (which is no use for purpose required).
Any thoughts?

How to live stream on pc?
do you know any app which allows me to live stream on PC?
I am thinking about libe stream for my teaching at home. I know some apps like Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Skype.
However, i think it is a social channel and I want to find some things more formal and professional. Can you give me some suggestion?
I find this app is quite popular in Southest Asia and wonder whether I should apply it in my teaching: BIGO LIVE for pc.
