Setting up Folderds in Windows 10 Mail

I am reposting this query as my last attempt was not satisfied.

A few days ago I ran into a problem where Windows 10 would not start up and I was unable to reload Windows 10 onto my hard drive.

To cut a long story short I decided to replace the drive with an SSD which I purchased recently. I then downloaded the latest version of Windows 10 and commenced reloading all my programs (I am still doing this)

When I got to setting up the Mail App I had a problem of setting up folders.

On the previous Windows 10 I was using Outlook where setting up folders was a piece of cake.

I have three email accounts which on setting up I retrieved all my email. Fine.

One is Gmail which I now rarely use, but with this account I see I can set folders as there is a + sign next to All Folders.

The second is an internet account with BT as BT is my broadband provider.

The third is in internet account of my own domain; which is the one I always use.

I cannot set folders with these internet accounts; something I could do with Outlook

    This is my problem.

As I only downloaded Windows 10 a couple of days ago I cannot think there is a problem with the App.

Does this facility not exist with the latest version of Mail?

    :)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Setting up Folderds in Windows 10 Mail :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

Setting up Folderds in Windows 10 Mail

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
