Windows 10: Settings window keeps auto minimizing

I've had my laptop for 3 years now, and all of a sudden the Settings window has started to minimize automatically. It remains open for anywhere between 0.5 to 3 seconds, and then auto minimizes. This only happens with the Settings window for some reason??

This is a fairly new issue and I've never seen it before.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue that might have resulted this?
• Were you able to see any error message/ error code when the programs minimizes?
• Does this issue occurs in Safe mode as well?

Try few of the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to Run the System maintenance troubleshooter
as it
finds and clean up unused files and shortcuts and performs maintenance tasks.

• Press Windows key and type
  Troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting and hit
  Enter.
• Click on View all in the left pane of the window.
• Select System Maintenance.
• Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

Method 2: If the issue still persists then,

Step 1: Start computer in safe mode that boots the device with minimal set of drivers and check if the issue persists..

If the issue persists then,

Step 2: Perform Clean boot to avoid any third party software conflict.
