Windows 10: Setup failed installing DirectX SDK June 2010

I tried to run an app but It required directx runtime so I downloaded the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer but it didnt work then I tried downloading the sdk as recommended by someone but that also does not work.I get Error code: S1023 while its intalling directx runtime and these 2 logs:1.[03/01/23 20:04:31] module: DXSDKSetupJun 2 2010, file: dxsdkhlp.cpp, line: 1261, function: CFusion::CFusion Failed API: LoadLibraryShim Error: 0x80131700 2.03/01/23 20:04:31: DXSDKSetup: CFusion::CFusion: LoadLibraryShim failed, error = 0x80131700. 03/01/23 20:04:31: DXSDKSetup:

DirectX installation failed

Thank you for the update. Please verify if DirectX June 2010 is being offered via Windows Update. If your computer is already running DirectX 12, it has backwards compatibility with the previous version of DirectX. Moreover, you may also want to consider
performing the suggested steps in this article.

Can I uninstall Microsoft DirectX SDK (June 2010) from Windows 10?

While installing a older game on my new computer with Windows 10, it installed Microsoft DirectX SDK (June 2010). That screwed up my computer. I could not uninstall it because it did not show up in Control Panel as an installed program, so I had to 'restore'
to get back to normal.

Now I just found a folder named 'Microsoft DirectX SDK (June 2010)' in C:/Program Files (x86) but it still is not showing in Control Panel as an installed program.

• Does Windows 10 need this?
• If it was by my game install then it should have been removed when I restored, right?
• Can I just delete it or what?

Any help would be appreciated.

• DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer
