Windows 10: setup_1026.exe

Discus and support setup_1026.exe in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; I was looking for a manual to a jump starter I have on website fixya.com.     I was looking for a manual to a jump starter I have on website fixya.com. I clicked on an answer to my question which brought me to a page that said "click for manual". When I did that, popups appeared telling me to update Adobe Flash Player. I didn't click on the link, but instead went to the Adobe website and downloaded the update. Later I noticed the file setup_1026.exe in my download folder. I was able to look through chrome history to figure out what I was doing when the file was downloaded. I didn't click on the setup file but I don't know if it has done anything on it's own. I was going to run system restore, but it has been turned off, which I didn't do.

    I ran scan with options to hide empty locations, and microsoft and windows entries and chose to scan everything. I never had folders come up in the results before. How can I tell if things have been changed already? Thank you for any help you can provide. Kate

    It is possible that you .exe is not working due to corrupted system files or account. To assist you better, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Does this happen with a specific application or with all of your application?
    • Have you tried creating a new admin account to check if the issue also with new account or only with the current account?

    to create a new admin account.

    To assist you better, I would like to ask if you have installed any Antivirus in the Laptop.

    I suggest you to run the program in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below and check if the issue persist.

    • Right click on the “.exe” file of the program and select properties.
    • Under Compatibility tab, check the option for “Run in Compatibility mode”.
    • Select the Operating System from the drop down list.
    • Click on Apply and OK.

    "The system cannot find the drive specified." uninst.000.exe missing: I can see a dark souls 3 program taking space in my programs list but when i try to uninstall it the uninstaller is missing. When i try to find file path its in a drive that is not in my pc. how do i fix this and remove the program? i had to abruptly end the installation...
