    Several "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED" BSODs on my laptop


    Hey everyone! I've been getting several BSODs on my laptop over the span of months, and this is the first time it saved a dump file! It wouldn't save any dump files before this.


    I don't run anything intensive before these crashes happen. Usually programs close out by themselves and things become slow/unresponsive. Then the screen goes black, followed by a blue screen. I've also gotten "UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION" before.

    I've tried a few solutions already:

    1) sfc /scannow

    2) diskchk

    3) Full virus scan

    4) memtest86

    5) HP Hardware Diagnostics

    6) DISM


    All of these keep telling me my laptop has 0 problems, and absolutely no error has been shown even when I've run these several times. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Hi,

    In order to resolve your concern, we suggest that you to follow these steps:

    • If you've installed any new apps or devices, uninstall or unplug them and restart your PC.
    • Make sure your PC has the latest updates:
    • Go to the search box.
    • Type Windows Update then Enter.
    • Select Check for updates.
    • In the Settings menu, select Check for updates button.
    • When it's finished, restart your PC.

    BSOD Error: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

    My laptop experienced a BSOD with an analysis by "Who Crashed" as follows-

    On Sat 11/10/2018 2:08:03 PM your computer crashed or a problem was reported

    crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP

    This was probably caused by the following module: ntkrpamp.exe (nt!PsSetLegoNotifyRoutine+0x46C)

    Bugcheck code: 0xEF (0xFFFFFFFFA8C97440, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0)

    Error: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

    Bug check description: This indicates that a critical system process died.

    There is a possibility this problem was caused by a virus or other malware.

    A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: ntkrpamp.exe .

    Google query: ntkrpamp.exe CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

    Several "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED" BSODs on my laptop

    Critical_process_died with BSoD

    I recently upgraded my HP G6 Pavilion laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, after a few weeks while I was working with my laptop it gave a BSoD with the error Critical_Process_Died and needs to restart. Ever since then I can't access my login screen as
    it keeps looping during boot. Please anyone with a viable solution that doesn't require me loosing my files. Thanks
