Windows 10: sfc and dism don't complete successfully

Discus and support sfc and dism don't complete successfully in Windows 10 Performance & Maintenance to solve the problem; Hi, recently on my pc I have added a new ssd drive, moved the os to such drive, reorganized the partitions among ssd and hdd, moved files and programs...     Hi,
    recently on my pc I have added a new ssd drive, moved the os to such drive, reorganized the partitions among ssd and hdd, moved files and programs accordingly, changed some drive letters. Everything seems to work fine, however when I try to check windows health something seems wrong (I translated the output):

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    Code: Version: 10.0.10586.0 Image Version: 10.0.10586.0 [==========================100.0%==========================] Error: 1392 Directory or file is damaged and unreadable. Log: C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log[/quote]
    sfc /scannow
    Code: Starting system analysis. Please wait. 38% completed. Windows resources protection: unable to execute the requested operation.[/quote] So it seems that there are something really wrong but I have no idea about what is happening.

    Could you help me to figure out what's wrong and restore Windows health?

    Could you upload the disk log please *Smile
    If it is too large, try to zip it or upload it to a 3rd party uploader and post a share link in your next reply.

    Let's try something *Smile
    1. Please follow this post and download the tool.
    2. Please go to this link and download setup media
    3. When downloaded, mount the setup media
    4. Open the tool as administrator, else the tool won't work, and choose option 3
    5. There are 2/3 other options from which you can choose after choosing option 3, I let this choice up to you
    6. Let it finish, it may take a few hours depending on how big the problem is

  7. Did it, same error and same message as before (1392) (after option 3 I choose option 1 recommended (attachment dism1.txt), then I retried with option 0 (attachment dism2.txt)).

  9. I'm not sure, since this is a windows reinstall will I have to recustomize all the windows settings after that? Is there maybe a less invasive fix? Btw in your opinion what are those log errors related to?

    I tried also to upgrade win10 to the anniversary upgrade, hoping that it would have fixed some problems, but in the middle of the installation I got a rollback so I'm back to start.

    Whenever you upgrade or reinstall Windows you of course need to reconfigure all customizations.

    The SFC was talking about not knowing the Windows folder what is not a good sign, there were many logs related to file corruption but I do not know a way to manually fix it as I'm not a specialist in Windows Update.

    How old is your current installation? Moving the OS to a different drive is not reinstalling or something FYI.

So I took your advice to try the "Repair Install" and it worked perfectly, all problems are gone and after that I succeeded in upgrading to the "Anniversary Update".

    Thank you very much!

    (Unfortunately however, as side effect, I had to re-set most of windows settings and reinstall some drivers like audio and video)
