Windows 10: Shared USB printer on a PC in Shared PC Mode

We have three public computers that have shared PC mode enabled. The public use the Guest account to log in.



A USB printer is attached to one of the computers and the shared printer option enabled.



On the other two computers I am able to go into the Guest account:

settings -> devices -> printers and scanners -> add a printer or scanner -> the printer I want isn't listed -> select a printer by name

and add the printer via the host computer ip address and printer name i.e. \\192.168.60.95\Brother etc.



This works and the printer can be used across the three computers, however when we log out of the guest account of the other computers the shared computer is forgotten and needs to be set up again.



Is there a way to configure it so that the shared printer is always available to the guest accounts?



I have tried using the Administrator account to add the printer to the other PC's however this does not add it to the Guest accounts.



I am aware that when a Guest account is logged out of, this account is deleted and a new Guest account is created at next login.

Suddenly can't share a printer anymore

Disable any printer sharing currently setup, whether it's working or not.
Disconnect the printer and remove all the printer drivers from all the PC's.
Reboot all the PC's, maybe even the router though that shouldn't make a difference.
Reinstall printer drivers on the host PC. Follow the install directions exactly. I've had a couple printers that would not work unless the USB cable was plugged in at the right time, the drivers would fail to install correctly otherwise. Reboot the host PC.
Setup printer sharing.
Reinstall the XP machine printer drivers. Reboot, then try to connect to it.

 

Unable to connect network shared printer to my PC

I'm using windows 10 pro, trying to connect a shared printer to my PC from my workgroup. Another user can attach the printer via printer sharing resources in the workgroup. But I can't, Enable to browse shared printer PC name from my system. Kindly suggest.

 

How to share printer over two PC's

Hi,

To begin with, I would like to inform you that you can connect/share your printer with two PC's when you create a Home group, without connecting to the router.

To learn how to do so, I suggest that you refer to the steps outlined below and check if you are able to share the printer
