Windows 10: sharing files windows 10 latest version

My wife and I have separate computers on a home network. We want to share some files. We each have specific folders set to be shared with everyone on the network. Each of us can see the other computer listed on the network, but not any of the folders in the other computer. When I click on the other computer in File Explorer a pop-up box tells me to enter my credentials. I have no idea what these are. I have tried the details that I log on with, but these are not accepted.


Can anyone help?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

This sounds pretty awesome, if true. There are a lot of old games I don't play that I'd be willing to share with friends, and there are some that I'd want to play but not sure about actually buying as well.
