Windows 10: Should I allow KB3150513 to install or not?

The problem is that if you are on build 14393,1066 the KB will try to install today it did for me but I stopped it and it did not return. If you want you can just remove KB3150513. That is if you want to stay on 14393.XXX

 

Yes sorry, got that mixed up. I meant to say 1607

 

MS will keep trying to push it, if you manually stop it it will not install until the next time they push it. Below is what my settings look like under Windows Update after applying the fix:

 

Me too, second time on a 1607 machine. My theory is that MS are updating their compatibility definitions and re-issuing it with the same KB number. It's applicable to all 'non creator' builds, from Windows 7 on (note the revision number and date)....

If you want to go to the CU install it. Then if you click on the link it will take you to this and you will be on your way , which is all well and good but some do not want to. KB3150513 is the same as it was nothing is changed in it.

Click on that link where the check mark is and you will be on your way to the CU. All MS did was to make it less intrusive.

I hate to ask again, but I never expected this topic to go on for 3 pages. My OP asked if I should install this KB and since I had turned off feature updates, if CU would still be deferred.

 

If you want to install the CU then install that update, You will have to move on to it time as these builds only receive updates for 18 months

You can get it by clicking on that link that is check marked. There is nothing wrong with this build , I am on it now.







But yes you will be offered to update it again, But why wait?

I do NOT want to get CU "yet", and was asking if this KB would force it. I wanted to wait a bit to be sure that some of the issues were resolved.

 

The issues are resolved, it is no longer in Beta the CU that bringing the version up to 15063.138 resolved any issues, Install Macrium Reflect Free and image what you have you can always go back to it. I have every version released on an image except 100240

 

Josey, I do not need Macrium Reflect FREE as I own V7.
