    Miracast is nice if you have a reason to use it. But with that Beacon alive telling any and all devices that can pick it up, is not always a good thing. Too easy to find a vulnerability and push any contact that someone wants to show on a tv.

    I turned mine off on my Amazon Fire TV box, Blu-Ray and Smart TV, since we do not do any Second screen device connections on any of them.

    I was not aware of Miracast, but better encryption may help with certain other devices accessing your WiFi. Thanks for info i see Windows 10 does have this Miracast.

    If your "Windows Connect Now" service is running, it is prefectly normal (albeit annoying) to see third-party wireless devices (mobile phones mostly) in your netweok neigborhood.

    Good to know, but i see it runs manually in Services.msc only starts when needed.
