  1. Should my use of windows require me to do a fresh install every year or so?

Every time I use a personal windows device, this always happens. This time I've had my pc for about 7 months, probably less than 1000 hours of use, today my wireless adapter randomly stopped working and when I tried to fix it, it started blue screening for 20 minutes, now it won't connect to the internet at all without doing it again. Thankfully I only use it for gaming, so I can just back up my save files to an external drive and I'm good to go do a fresh install, but it's still annoying. I literally only game on this thing, barely even browse the internet enough to accidentally get a virus somewhere. This happens to me fairly often, is this normal?

Should my use of windows require me to do a fresh install every year or so?

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Should my use of windows require me to do a fresh install every year or so? :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
