Windows 10: Show Webcam in Fullscreen

Hi, i've been trying to show the camerafeed of a Fujifilm camera on my computer in fullscreen, so that i can attach the camera to a telescope and then look at what the camera sees on a bigger screen than the cameras integrated screen.

Fujifilm has some software to make their cameras into a Webcam and with that the camera is visible in MS Teams, but not in the Windows camera app, which would be the easiest way to see it fullscreen.

Are there any other programs that might let me view the camera in fullscreen?

Ps: In Device Manger the camera shows up under "Portable Devices" instead of "Cameras", which is probably why the camera app doesn't see it. So also: is there a way to change the device type of a device in device manager? Or is that only possible if you are the developer of said driver?

Webcam had disappeared

Hi,

The webcam may have stopped working due to hardware failure, or a loose cable that connects it to the device’s motherboard. We suggest that you try to show hidden devices in
Device Manager by following these steps:

• Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
• Click on the View tab and select Show hidden devices.
  

If you are seeing the webcam drivers, uninstall them. Then restart your device to check if Windows will be able to recognize the webcam and will install the drivers.

USB Webcam showing as Hidden in Device Manager

Hi,

Firstly apologies for not getting back sooner but I've been on holiday for a couple of weeks and didn't have access to my PC.

I'm trying to check whether the webcam is blocked or not by following your instructions. I've followed Step 1 and 2 OK as requested. Your step 3 implies to me that I should now see a list of blocked apps in a box. However when I click on
Allow an app through Windows Firewall what I get is a list of the allowed Apps and Features rather than a list of Blocked Apps. I cannot see webcam or anything similar in the list of allowed apps.

Did I follow your steps correctly. Am I missing something here?

Webcam is still classed as hidden in Device manage and the Camera App still cannot see it.
