Windows 10: Side-By-Side configuration error - Error ID 33

Hi all,


I've been having this issue each time my windows updates, where I basically can't open a lot of .exe programs. I saw that it could've been something to do with C++ packages not being installed but I'm certain I have them all. Sxstrace tool doesn't even open, and sfc /scannow gives me an error saying 'Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service'. Here is the information from the event log:


Activation context generation failed for "System Default Context". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.Windows.IsolationAutomation,language="*",processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="6595b64144ccf1df",type="win32",version="1.0.17134.471" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.


Thank you in advance for any help. I'd hate to go back to a restore point before the update (this is what fixed it last time) as it takes a very long time.

System Error.

Event ID for each error? List those, will tell you what caused it on the Microsoft Knowledge Base.

 

RAID 0 Error

I did what you suggested and I got a boot media error telling me to insert a OS disk. I removed them from RAID, installed vista again and ran some diagnostics on the now individual drives and all programs (Speedfan, Seatools, Everest etc) listed the drives as healthy and up to spec in terms of performance.

Sorry for the late reply, ive been reinstalling all my software etc.
Just wanted to conclude the thread, thanks for all your suggestions guys.

program runs ok but error appears in event viewer occasionally.
