Windows 10: Side By Side Error 1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b

After the latest windows 10 update I'm unable to access a number of programs, I'll post a screenshot of the error message below. I've tried to download the C++ update that I had seen in other forums but when trying to install it it says that another version is already installed. I did do a scan in the cmd prompt, something similar to "sfc /scannow" and after restarting some issues were resolved but still having issues. I also tried sxstrace.exe but nothing opens or happens.






It seems everytime there is a windows update my computer either stops at 90% and then cancels the update, or has a large number of issues if the update is successful. Is there a way to block any future windows updates?

I am trying to install autodesk products which fail to install due to the MS visuals redistributable c++ 2005 SP1 ATL x64 (Modified 18-Sep-09*as per software package) fails to install, the following error occurs when in try to install manually:

Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT.type="win32".version="8.0.50727.4053".publicKey Token="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b".processorArchitecture="amd64"". Please refer to Help and Support for more information.

I am using a 64 bit Windows 10 and a 64 bit processor (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3537U CPU @ 2.00Ghz 2.50 Gz)

.Netframework not installed (As a suggestion says to reinstall .Netframework)

I also tried suggestions provided by Diana on a very similar error addressed on this page Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.ATL,

Also in another suggestion from some other site I followed and enabled ntfs8.3namecreation and tried to install but it didn't work.

Is there any other solution to the situation

Hmm. Either it's put out errors and WCG is limiting the work units available, or the project list may not be set to supply other WU when one runs out. (if the problem lies here and not on your end)

On the options to your left, if you go into Results Status, select the computer from Device Name and then look through results see if either they were returned late, errors or any other kind of issue that would stop the servers supplying WU from that perspective.

If there are no errors then it's maybe down to your project list. So selecting Device Manager from the left menu and then clicking on the profile assigned to that computer and make sure that it's assigned to receive WU for other projects if they run out.

At least those steps will rule out problems from the WCG end.
