Windows 10: Side by Side Error Windows 10

Hi,

I've read the posts on the Side by Side error, most of which seem locked. So, I'm posting a new thread in hope that the problem can be resolved. None of the fixes suggested work, and it's my guess that is because the error affects a single app sometimes. Most fixes ask the user to install a C++, but the installer itself invokes the error. None of the recommended fixes work, and very few programs will open I can open Edge, Firefox, Powershell, and the cmd line-which is required to open explorer.exe--which does not boot on its own. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
