    SO I'VE ALWAYS HAD THIS PROBLEM. IVE ADDED MACROS TO MY SIDEWINDER X4 AND IVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO DELETE THEM. THIS HAPPENS WHEN IM GAMING, WILL PRESS THE RECORD BUTTON AND A RANDOM SET OF MACROS WILL BE RECORDED. NOW IM CNSTANTLY TYPING WITH CAPS LOCKS. HOW DO I DELETR MACROS WITH WITH MY SIDEWINDER X4 KEYBOARD?

    Hello Matroximus,

    Are you using the Mouse and Keyboard Center 10 software to modify the configuration
    of your Sidewinder X4 Keyboard? If you are, you can
    remove the program and then restart your PC to remove the macros.
    The same procedure can be applied to third-party software that modifies the functionality of your peripheral devices.

    Should the issue remain, you can perform a clean boot. A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you use your Windows device. Make sure that
    you're signed in as the administrator before performing the steps below.

    1. Click the Start button, type
      System Configuration and then press
      Enter.
    2. If prompted, choose Yes or enter the administrator password.
    3. On the Services tab of the
      System Configuration window, select the
      Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click
      Disable all.
    4. On the Startup tab of the
      System Configuration window, click
      Open Task Manager.
    5. On the Startup tab in
      Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click
      Disable.
    6. Close Task Manager.
    7. On the Startup tab of the
      System Configuration dialog box, tap or click
      OK, and then restart the computer.

    IMPORTANT: Go to the section:
    Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting to boot the PC in normal startup after identifying the cause of the issue.

    For us to properly isolate the issue with your Microsoft Sidewinder x4 Keyboard, we would like to know the following:

    • Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue (e.g. updates, software installation)?
    • When did the issue begin?
    • To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
