Windows 10: Sign in option disabled

After an update yesterday every time I try to log into my laptop I get a message saying the pin option has been disabled because of logging in too often or something like that and I must log in as an administrator OR leave my laptop on for 2 hours, what the hell? So then I have to sign in with my password/administrator account. Why is this happening, I have NEVER had this happen before and it is incredibly frustrating. I log in and out repeatedly all day because that is what I do and how I use my laptop.


What is causing this? Why does Microsoft have the right to decide if I am logging in or out too often? Please fix this issue it is infuriating and I actually feel as though Microsoft is invading my privacy/controlling me. The PIn I enter is correct each time too, so it is not an error on my part.

Best method to disable Vista/Vista 64 driver signing?

It's not a matter of "try". The bcdedit command is not fully consistent and reliable for some folks.

So far, to me, it seems the third choice always locks (disables) the driver signing. If that is the case for anyone who uses it, then that would suggest it is the more reliable and consistent method of the ones I've listed, anyway.

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• On the right side, you will see required sign in.
• Change it to Never.
