Windows 10: sign in requirement to open PC

I'm signing in with my google account password. Does that mean that I'm signing in as a temporary user? My new documents are saved to a temporary file, and all documents in it are lost when rebooting. I have to be an administrator to change my password. How do I get to be an administrator? I'm the only one using the PC and would like to eliminate the password requirement altogether.

I just tried step 4 in option 5 to disable require sign-in on wakeup. This changed nothing.

Again, the current behavior already does NOT require sign-in on wakeup. The desired behavior is for it to indeed REQUIRE sign-in on wakeup.

If anything, step 3 in option 5 would fix it, but as I mentioned in my last post, this did NOT fix it either.

Is there anything else I could try? If not, I will open a new thread where I state my original problem in more clear terms. Perhaps I gave too much information and it became confusing about what my issue was. I simply wanted to be thorough to eliminate the need for "try restarting your machine" or "have you changed this setting that does exactly what you want".

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• On the right side, you will see required sign in.
• Change it to Never.

As a test, try using step 4 in option 5 to disable require sign-in on wakeup may work for you.
