    Sign-in requirements in Windows?

    Split from this thread.

I just bought a windows 10 PC, and it is a nightmare of hassles, and things I don't want, but can't get rid of. I'm already being synched to Google, but you're Requiring me to sign in with Microsoft email, Then Forcing me to let you synch with Microsoft OneDrive, while my Samsung tablet is also FORCING me to synch with Samsung! WTH?

Since when did "I" become a user, but not a Controller of MY COMPUTERs? I BOUGHT This thing, for MY use, with MY MONEY! Why in the hell can't "I" say where and IF I want my files backed up on the cloud, AND Select the cloud of MY CHOICE?

Every one of you jerks who steals MY files, and keeps them on YOUR Cloud, leaves me open to data breaches!! Oh, Yeah, I know, YOU won't mess with my data - We Promise!! Well, If you're so sure you won't touch my data, then WHY The HELL do you INSIST on stealing it to begin with?

Of COURSE you're invading my privacy, and stealing my data! Otherwise you'd let ME Decide when and where I want files on the cloud, and let me save my files onto MY Computer, that I PAID FOR, and have sufficient storage capacity to handle.

THIS IS BS!! I've spent HOURS this morning, trying to uninstall Onedrive, so you'll STOP taking my files, but of course, "I" am Not allowed to do that, even though the computer SAYS I've uninstalled it, It's Still there, and STILL uploading my files to the Microsoft Cloud. Hmmm, Big Brother!

Get the Hell out of my business!! I paid for this computer - NOT YOU, and I Paid for the software, so that means It's MY file, Not YOURS! LET GO OF IT!

    :)

  3. password sign in

    Hi,

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Go to Settings.
    • Click on Accounts.
    • Click on Sign in options.
    • On the right side, you will see required sign in.
    • Change it to Never.

Let us know how it goes.

    Sign-in requirements in Windows?

    Windows 10 sign in requirement

Microsoft should make the W10 sign in requirement optional. I can understand the security necessity in an office or other working environment, but there are many situations where this type of security is not an issue and the sign in is just an added inconvenience.
I was able to remove my W10 PIN Sign-in in at Sign in Options under Accounts. However, that created an even greater nuisance by requiring my Microsoft account sign in. I noticed an earlier post has outlined steps to remove the account sign in using netplwiz and some registry mods. Is this the way I should proceed now to get W10 to come from boots and sleep without human intervention ?
