Windows 10: SkyDrive camera roll, Libraries, Windows 7 Backup and Backup encountered a problem 0x80070003

I have searched and found quite a few threads looking like this but none have spotted what happens. I Think I have but can't find a solution. This has been happening for years under various Windows. I am now using Windows 10 Pro fully updated.


When running a Windows 7 Backup from Control panel, it will invariable report a failure and report some files were skipped. The log says:


Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\OneDrive\SkyDrive camera roll. ErrorSTATUS_WAIT_3 (0x80070003))


This is because the Libraries include the SkyDrive camera roll. Use Manage Libraries to remove this entry from the Pictures Library and Windows 7 Backup works fine.


However, in a few days when I run the Backup again, SkyDrive camera roll has mysteriously reappeared (without my action) in the Pictures Library and the Backup fails again (unless I remember to remove it before starting the backup - about 50/50 )


This is irritating on a number of levels - not least that a Microsoft feature breaks a Microsoft feature - don't they test this stuff?


Does anyone have a solution - the best would be that Microsoft fixes the Backup programme so that it doesn't have a problem with the Pictures Library entry of SkyDrive camera roll. But I would settle for a way to prevent the Library entry for SkyDrive camera roll to be added automatically with no way of turning this off.

Skydrive camera roll backup only on wifi

Is it possible to only enable the skydrive backup from camera when only on wifi?
