    Skype is Eating My Lunch!

    Windows 10 18363.628 Skype 8.56.0.103
Windows 10 Insider Preview 19559.1000 Skype Preview 8.57.76.56

Both versions of Skype seem to work well.

First, each student set up his/her account in Skype.

I've created a group, invited members to it, but so far, I can't seem to see the members I invited. *Sad Nor can they see each other.

    Open Group
    Click on Contacts
None of the folks I invited are showing up.

However, they can see when I type and I can see when they type.

I've looked all over the Internet trying to figure this out, but so far, all I can accomplish is to set up a new group.

There doesn't seem to be a tutorial on actually adding new Skype users to a group . . . or as my contacts, for that matter.

I know I'm not making much sense here, but I belong to a group someone else set up, and we can all see each other and talk privately with each other. Which is what I want to accomplish with my students.

One tutorial said, "Windows is the only OS where you can't easily add contacts." I don't think they were lying. *Sad

    :)

  2. Skype?

As this is a now quite established messenger system of sorts perhaps a Skype feature for people skype names so perhaps some real time problem solving/discussions could be mounted?
    Just a wee suggestion.
    What does everyone else think?
