Windows 10: Skype keeps crashing my computer

    Skype keeps crashing my computer


    Whenever I make a call I either get video in use by other program( even though I have turned off access to camera to all apps except Skype, unistalled and reinstalled the camera drivers)

    or

    it will work for about 10 seconds, freeze make a loud sound and I have to hard reset ( via the power button) the computer.

    THis is a brand new HP laptop so I don't understand why this is happening.

    Hi,

    There are many possible reasons why the computer will keeps on crashing. One of which is missing or corrupted system files. For us to further isolate the issue, we suggest answering the following questions:

    • What exactly are you accessing/doing when the computer crashes?
    • Were you still able to login to the computer after it happens?
    • Can you send us a screenshot of the error messages or mini dump that you've received?

    In the meantime, if you're seeing a blue screen when the computer crashes, we suggest following the steps on this article:
    Troubleshoot blue screen errors. Kindly choose the appropriate answer to the category
    "When did you get the error?".

    Why does my windows 10 computer crash when I run Skype?

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Let me help you to fix the issue.

    Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps. I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the Skype and check.


    • Press Windows key + X and select
      Control Panel.

    • Click on Programs and features, locate for Skype, right click on it and
      uninstall it.

    Computer keeps crashing

    when its in the l last step of installing windows vista it crashes i think its a hardware issue because the is the second disk it has done it on ( i returned the other one) any help would be great system is in the system specs its windows vista ultimate also
