Windows 10: Skype no new message alert !!

Dear Sir/Madam,


I have updated the skype version to SKYPE 12.1815.210.0.


However, after using this new version, I have found that there is NO new message alert that's why always too late to read the new messages come ( Not user friendly !! ). I have took some time to look for that function however cannot be found.


For the old version of skype, usually new message alert comes.


Can you help to fix it ?


I am using Window 10.

New Trojan Calls on Skype

Another Trojan horse is spreading through the Internet telephone network of Skype Ltd. The malicious code, known as both Warezov and Stration, is similar to an earlier version detected in February, but with a new URL and a new version of the malicious code, according to an alert posted Thursday by Websense Inc. Websense warns Skype users to watch for the message "Check up this," with a URL containing a hyperlink. When users click on the link, they are redirected to a site that is hosting a file named file_01.exe. Users are then prompted to run the file and if they do, several other files are downloaded and run. The downloaded files are other versions of the Waresov/Stration malicious code, so be careful when receiving messages from people not in your contact list.

text message alert sounds?

  What is the make and model of the phone?
  
• 
  When you say ‘’cannot find how to set text message alert sounds’’ are you referring to setup a particular sound/alert for the message or there is no sound alert at all when you received the message?
  

I also like to inform you that, you cannot setup a different alert sound except the inbuilt sound alert. If you refer to setting up your choice sound alert, I suggest you to provide your valuable suggestion and feedback using feedback app.

Emergency Alerts

Hi Stephanie,

Just to confirm, is this the same thing that you tried on your phone, in order to turn off Amber Alerts?

• Open Settings.
• Tap on System.
• Tap on Messaging.
• Tap on the Change emergency alert settings link.
• Turn on or off the emergency alerts you want.

Let us know if this was the same thing that you tried.

We would also suggest to reset your phone after doing these steps to ensure that the changes on your phone's settings will be refreshed.

Simply press and hold the Power and Volume down button for 15 seconds and then release your hold afterwards.
