    Sleep problem with Win10 20H2 update


    I have a relatively new Lenovo 330S which is working perfectly on Win10 1909. If I update to 20H2 I've tried twice on entering sleep, the screen blanks, the power light stays on and the laptop freezes - the only way to recover it is to hold the power button down and then reboot. Each time I roll back to 1909 the problem goes away. I've run sfc and DISM with no errors. I've shut off fast startup but haven't tried updating since. The last time I tried the update, I didn't launch any programs but immediately asked for sleep with the same result. I'd appreciate any guidance as to what to try next, thanks.

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

    20H2 should not be installed right-away on your device - MS said the rollout is only to a fraction of users and would be labeled as an optional update initially. Are you enrolled in WIP?

    You may uninstall 20H2 using the steps below:
