  1. Sleeping the display - just cycles wake/sleep

    Hello all,

I have a new rig, still working out some bugs, but this is my first PC, coming from a Mac ecosystem.

When I set up sleep settings, I have the screensaver start after 10 minutes, then display sleep after 20 minutes. When that time comes, the display I have just cycles between wake/sleep over and over and never actually sleeps.

Currently I am using Balanced power plan. Looking through "Change Advanced Power Settings" nothing seems out of whack. Settings on the monitor are normal as well. I've checked drivers, everything is up to date.

    Windows 10 Pro

    Gigabyte x399 Designare MB

    AMD Threadripper 2970wx

    EVGA Geforce RTX 2080ti

    Dell P2411H monitor

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks,

    :)

  2. wake from sleep issue in windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your reply. Apologize for the delay in response.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

    • Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Type the command line below:
    Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

    3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.

    Hope the information is helpful.
