Windows 10: Slow boot time on SSD (during OS loading screen)

Disable the scpService (Ds3Service / Scarlet.Crush Productions) and test.

 

Ok so here is what I did.

I disabled that service but the issue persists(it is just a driver so my ps3 controller gets recognized as a genuine xbox360 controller so I can play all games on steam with it *Smile

I set it up like that and unfortunately you can't see the drivers on screen. But I took a look at the log. At first this was always the last couple of lines (I tried 3 times) :

So naturally I uninstalled samsung magician and it changed but I don't know what to think of it. So now it comes to this:

At what times did you press the reset button?

 

About 5 seconds in. I also repeated 10 and 15 seconds in. NDProxy.sys shows up a lot

 

NDProxy is networking-related but it should be ok if it's not getting loaded. Just for clarity, can you also post a separate log file after a full boot?

I notice that the full boot logs have IOMap64.sys, which is an Asus driver. Can you try uninstalling the Asus utilities?

 

I unninstalled all asus software. Also all windows updates from december. Still the same. I think I will have to pull the plug on this one. It is too much of a mystery

 

Have you checked the Error summary in the Event Viewer?

Have you tested to see how fast your boot time is with the fast boot feature? If your boot time is already slow you may aswell see how it fares. And incase you aren't able to access it normally without the registry, I can assist you.

 

I tried it with it turned on, no difference. @lehnerus2000, there are some errors but nothing that can point me to something specific.

Also when I use this shortcut I made (found the code somewhere) it is fast. But it doesn't work on restarts.

Hello DeadlyChef i have same problems in same conditions , i formatted pc a month ago , same problems started again , windows post boot time now 23 and it is getting longer .Have u found any fix ?

 

I formatted my drive and reinstalled couple days after last post. No problems so far.. It is very strange.. Try using the shortcut I posted above to shutdown your pc. Should be fast than.

 

Can whoever has this slow boot time check the "Last BIOS time" value on Task Manager - Startup tab?
Mine shows 14s after reboot, if you have fast startup enabled and you shutdown, it will be accumulated until next reboot / shutdown without fast startup.

 

Having the same issue after reinstalling windows from scratch, and i also have an ASUS motherboard.
Boot degradation is happening with almost every boot, i'm desperately holding for the Spring Creators Update which might somehow resolve this.
