Windows 10: Slow Boot

The following is concerned with Win 10 Pro, V1809, B17763.503.


I mentioned this because it seemed like my pc started this slow boot process, 1hr +, warm or cold start, after an os update. If I only sleep or hibernate the machine is ok. This only occurs after a shutdown.


Is there a procedure for figuring out what the issue is?

I'm told there's a logging process that can monitor the startup process; how would I Log the startup and find it to look at it in Notepad?

• Have you made any recent changes before this issue occur?
• Have you tried booting up your laptop in Safe Mode and check if the issue still persist?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Another Windows 10 slow boot up question

After completing the first set of steps you suggested, my boot time has now gone to 20min. I am trying to get to scandisk to see if it is a disk error, but i have defragged it previously.

I managed to get it to the command prompt selection, but then it just skips the request and goes in to boot mode. Do I have to run sysconfig in troubleshooting mode or can I just run it as an admin once it boots?

I tried everything you suggested. The slow boot up is after my reset of win10.
