Windows 10: slow computer after win 10 2004 update

This update completely ruined a good gaming Dell computer!

The update took 8 hours to install and not only did it slow my computer to a crawl, it erased all of the restore points, made me select a pin for a sign in instead of my Microsoft account password, games that worked the day before wouldn't load, I couldn't uninstall anything, etc.

In other words, I finally ordered a new computer. I tried all of the steps you listed for others and nothing worked.

I just hope Microsoft fixes this problem before my new computer arrives.

Thanks for listening. By the way, I'm using a very old Dell laptop with Win 8 to write these comments. Win 8 still works like a champ!

Win 10 2004 update No AMD graphics

Before upgrading anything else to 2004, I would suggest checking out the current Known Issues list.

Feature Update Win 10 Pro 2004

The Feature Update Win 10 2004 appears to have installed successfully on my computer.

It is listed in Settings, System, About.

However, the Update has wiped out all of my previous Windows Update, View Update History which is now blank.

Moreover, the Feature Update Win 10 2004 itself is not listed in Settings, Update and Security, Windows Update, View Update History.

Is this important?

And if so, how can it be repaired?

Feature Update Win 10 Pro 2004

AFAIK, update history is cleared after installing feature update. This is expected behaviour, nothing to worry about!
