Windows 10: Slow download speed while downloading games/movies...

Hello. So my problem is that I have a decent download and upload speed both over 250mbps. HOWEVER when I start downloading a game with its size of 40gb or up to 124gb for CoD Warzone, my download speed peaks at 50mbps then levels after a few minutes at 5mbps. Again, the speed test results are over 250mbps on both download and upload. This happens with every game launcher I download from such as steam battle.net and so on. Here are some of the things i tried doing: - I unlocked the 1gbps full duplex from "speed and duplex" - I tried reseting the network options and restarted - I updated the drivers yet nothing - I tried various fixes from youtube but still nothing. In conclusion i would like some help or at least if its ok to download a game in 5 hours even if my internet speed is fast enough to download 5 games at the same time. Also in the past i was able to install the GTA 5 in 8 or 10 minutes (which is around 90 gb)

• I would suggest you to test the speed using any of the speed test website or app to confirm the upload and download speed.
• I also suggest you to reset the wireless router to check if that helps.
  
• You may plug in the Ethernet cable if available and check the speed.

Can't download the movie I purchased for rental.

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to download rented movies offline and check if that helps.

Steps:

1. Select the movie you want to rent and click on
   rent option.
2. Login using Microsoft account.
3. Once you have signed in, you will have two option
   to stream or download movies to this device to watch offline.
4. Select download movies to this device to watch offline and click on next.
5. After Choosing the Next option and you will be asked for the payment option.
6. Once the payment it done, open Movies & TV application to download the movie.

You will be able to watch the movie offline from
Movies and TV application. When you rent, the viewing period is 14 days from the time of your order or 24-48 hours from the time you start to watch (depending on the content you select), whichever comes first.



If you still facing issues downloading the movies after following the above steps. I suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps mentioned below, to fix issues with Microsoft store.



Steps:

• 1. Open store application on your pc.
  2. Click on the ellipses on right top corner of the screen.
  3. Logout and login back.
