Windows 10: Slow LAN when laptop(s) connected

Discus and support Slow LAN when laptop(s) connected in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; There is no WiFi connection ! All connections to the router are direct Ethernet and the router is a direct connection to fibre. Already stated that...     Slow LAN when laptop(s) connected


    There is no WiFi connection !
    All connections to the router are direct Ethernet and the router is a direct connection to fibre.
    Already stated that the laptop is clean with a fresh install of the OS !! (no Garbage software) anything that can be removed such as installed games and apps are removed using powershell commands.
    The Acer Aspire E 17 E5-772G-76ED is not past its prime and I have the same issue?

    You are not listening. I am not stating that your laptop is old. I am stating that one of the chips on the motherboard is dated and with that, you also need to make sure that you disable any wifi on a computer when you connect with Ethernet in Windows. Operating Systems do not automatically disconnect wifi when you connect with Ethernet, so you have to turn it off. That is most likely why you saw the 150 mbps.

    Sorry, I am listening, it is you that is either not reading or understanding my post !
    I understand what you are saying, and that my chipset on the Sony is dated, but the chipset on the Acer is not dated so your claims of a dated chipset being the cause does not hold credence for the issue.

    Now...
    This has never been about WiFi !
    I have clearly stated several times that there is no WiFi turned on. It is physically turned off, in fact, I have disabled the WiFi in Device Manager as an alternative test but still no change in speed.

    And yes, systems do disconnect WiFi and turn to Ethernet connections when a physical connection is detected, it is part of the Automatic Metric feature in windows...
