  1. Slow Win10 file searches

Win10 Explorer file searches take ridiculously long to provide result, and often never end. There are similar complaints on this forum back to 2015-2016 and the problem still exits.

Suggestions to index and limit the number of folders are excuses and simply avoids the central issue: the search function just doesn't work. Earlier version of Windows had an excellent search and there are numerous third party utilities that are also very fast--without indexing. After 4+ years, why are we still living with it?

And don't get me started on eliminating the Win7 date range search...

    :)
