Windows 10: Slow Windows Logon

Discus and support Slow Windows Logon in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; Hello, So I have been trying to figure out as to why it takes 10+ minutes from the time of entering my password, to the time I get to my desktop....     Slow Windows Logon


    Hello,


    So I have been trying to figure out as to why it takes 10+ minutes from the time of entering my password, to the time I get to my desktop.

    Event viewer doesn't give any useful information as the only error is a DCOM connection timeout. I have made a second admin account and it logs in within a second.


    PC specs:


    AMD Ryzen 2700x

    32GB Corsair 3200Mhz

    MSI GTX1080ti

    Samsung M.2 970 Pro 1TB C: - drive 2

    I have 3 other drives including a 1TB Sata SSD G: - drive 1, 4TB HDD E: - drive 0, and a 250GB M.2 SSD D: - drive 3.


    I have done the following:


    sfc /scannow

    fsutil dirty query

    chkdsk /f /r

    clean boot

    safe mode


    It still takes 10 minutes to get into windows from safe mode.


    I have a windows performance recorder of my boot cycle but lack of the experience and knowledge to really decipher it.

    Any help at all would be very appreciated. I suspect a corrupt account or file of some sort but couldn't detect anything.

    Family Member cannot logon to Windows 10

    Hi Sultan,

    There are different causes that may bring up this error on your computer. To guide you better in resolving the issue, please answer the following questions:

    • Is the administrator account the one having the error?
    • Did this happen after installing updates?
    • What suggestions have you tried?

    You may find other suggestions on this
    page     to fix the problem with the user profile. Try following the steps given by
    Malkeleah.

    Slow domain logon on remote sites with slow connection/bandwidth

    Hello,

    we are coping with slow domain logon times on our Windows 10 clients. At our local site, where the domain controller are placed, there are no problems. The slow logon time only occurs at remote sites with a low bandwidth, and it's not only the "first" login
    to the system. Our Windows 7 clients do not seem to have this problem.

    It is a quite simple setup:

    - no logon scripts

    - no printers connected during logon

    + quite a lot of gpo's are configured to restrict the system

    Hope someone has advice for me where. Many thank's in advance!
