    @ nabucco:
    for your 7zip problem:
create a folder in App Data with the exact same name as the one in Program Data and put the 7zip shortcut in it, (or vise versa, which ever applies), then all shortcuts in those twin folders will show up in one folder of the same name in the Start Menu.

jds 63: is my desired order, each folder with similar applications inside.

Edwin: I understand. But I have not a folder "7-Zip". 7-Zip is in a folder ("25 Herramientas varias" in the picture) along with 20 other applications.

    Okay, two questions:
    - where does that "25 Herramientas varias" folder reside right now, and,
    - where did you take the 7-Zip shortcut from originally?

You have to create twin folders in each directory and put the respective shortcuts in each respective directory in their respective folders. DO NOT move them out of their respective directories!

    1) Is a subfolder of AppData....\Start Menu\Programs (same as the other folders in the image)

    2) 7-Zip installation created a folder "7-Zip" in ProgramData\...\Start Menu\Programs with two shortcuts. I moved the 7-Zip.exe shortcut to "25 Herr..." and then deleted the other shortcut (do not remember the name, perhaps "Help") and the folder.

EDIT: You write very fast: I was answering post #17

    If you took the 7-Zip shortcut out of ProgramData and moved it over to AppData, that's your problem;
Create another 25 Herramientas varias folder in ProgramData, (a twin folder), and bring the shortcut back to it. It needs to remain in it's home directory.

mmm... Let us see the same 7-Zip example: the instalation program create another folder "7-Zip" in ProgramData, but I don't wish this folder in AppData (nor in "25 Herr..."), only one shortcut.

Perhaps are you saying I can move the shortcut to "25 Herr..." in ProgramData and then copy it to "25 Herr..." in Appdata?

EDIT: Well, then perhaps is easier to put all my shortcuts in Program Data and delete the folders in AppData...

Make twin folders of all the necessary custom folders you are going to need or use, in both locations.
Take the desired shortcuts out of their native folders and put them in the custom folders in their own directory. (1-2)
All items in AppData have to stay in AppData; all the items in ProgramData have to stay in ProgramData, henceforth the twin folders.
Then you can hide the native folders, (3-6), or delete them if they are empty.
DO NOT touch Windows System Applications or Universal App shortcuts!

I realize it seems redundant to create all those twin folders in both locations but you have to keep the shortcuts in their executable environment or you will corrupt their executable path.

You can create custom install destinations for every program you install, then create custom shortcuts to put in custom folders with custom targets, but this way is much easier.
