Windows 10: Small window quickly opens and closes regularly

Hi,


I've had a persisting issue of some small window roughly 500px by 500px that opens and closes so quickly I can't figure out what it is and what is wrong. I just installed windows on this machine a couple months ago and I have not messed with installing any non-professional software.


All I know is the window comes up completely white before it closes, I have a hunch that it is either OneDrive or Outlook because I often experience buggy features from the two and the small size of the window resembles a windows prompt/tool.


Is there any way to monitor what has most recently closed to get to the source of the issue?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Small tiles sometimes being half of its original size

I suggest you to try the following steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Resize the app.

• 
  Open the Start menu.
  
• 
  Right click on the icons (which are appearing small on your start menu) and click on Resize.
  
• 
  Select the option like small/medium/large/wide which you like. (Resize options vary from the app to app)
  

Step 2: If the particular app is missing/not there on Start menu.

• 
  Open the Start menu, type the app name in the search bar.
  
• 
  Once you see the pap name on the search bar, right click on it and click on Pin to start if the app is not there on Start menu. (you may click on Pin to taskbar also if you wish to pin the app to taskbar)

Some mouse pointers become very small

This works. But oh, is the startup painfully slow. Not sure what is worse, the small pointers or the startup performance.

No help here...

Windows Update runs regularly, and all available updates are installed.

Startup is quick.

The "Disable hardware graphics acceleration" is already checked.

I still believe it has something to do with the 3840x2160 resolution and the scaling in certain applications... FWIW.
