    I have two 2 Windows 10 Desktop PCs. There is a problem that affects both computers. A description of the problem is explained below.THE PROBLEM: For some unknown reason, on the Control Panel’s “DEVICES and PRINTERS” page, under the “Multimedia Devices” section, the “Smart TV” icon and app, installs and replicates itself automatically. Input by a User is unnecessary. I opened the control panel on one of my computers last week and was surprised to see literally hundreds of “Smart TV” icons filling the page. The control panel on the other computer had the same display. I immediately selected a

    • Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:
    • Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
    • Click OK.
    • What is the make and model of your Smart TV?
    • Have you tried checking with your Smart TV's manufacturer if there were any available firmware updates?
    • Were there any recent changes made prior to this issue?

    Smart TV or cheap media center PC?

    Most Smart TV's are usually partly Sold on the Apps ( and they spy on you )
    Most manufactures and the Apps supplies renderer their installed APPS useless before the TV is OUT OF WARRENTY They either are not updated and maintained or they just don't work server side because you have App ver 1.05 and server will only work on ver 2 and higher ect.

    I have a smart TV connected to my network. It seems that every time I turn on my TV windows will list it as a new device. I regularly have to delete all these Smart TV devices, since after a period of time I can have up to 50 device listing for my TV.
    Is there any way to prevent this from happening?
