Windows 10: Snip and sketch

I am trying to use snip and sketch and have been for a while but yesterday the app seems to be launching the desktop picture and will only allow me to snip that......I have tried removing picture, just snipped windows desktop, tried reloading snip and sketch, tried removing latest windows update, but the desktop screen override the and sits on top of what i want to snip.I can see as I launch the snip program, the desktop pic flashes over the item I want



It must be driver error.....what on earth have I done?

Snip & Sketch keeps overriding clipboard

and try the suggested steps and check if the issue still persists. If the issue still persists try with the method 2.

Method 2

Reset Snip & Sketch app

1. Press Windows + I key and click on
   Apps.
   
2. Click on Apps & features. Select Sketch & Snip app from the available list of installed apps.
   
3. Click on Snip & Sketch > Advanced Options.
   
4. Click on Reset option.
   
5. Restart the computer once and check the status of the issue.
   
6. Let us know if the issue still persists.

If the issue persists move to this step:

Reset Snip & Sketch app

1. Press Windows + I and click on Apps

2. Tap on Apps & features, then choose the Sketch & Snip app from the list of installed apps

3. Tap on Snip & Sketch, Advanced Options

4. Tap on Reset option

5. Relaunch the computer once

Snip & Sketch overrides clipboard

I configured my Snip & Sketch app so that snips will not automatically copied. But they are always copied automatically to the clipboard. I did the troubleshooting
steps such as computer rebooting but all in vain
