Windows 10: Snip & Sketch is missing single window mode.

I just reinstalled windows 10 last night with a fresh downloaded copy. For some reason Snip & Sketch is missing the single window mode on my version. Is there a way to fix this?

Snip & Sketch - Improved Features?

Snip & Sketch in Windows 10 is supposed to have improved features over the Windows 10 Snipping Tool. Granted it allows you to sketch in the snapshot you take, but it seems to be missing some nice features of the Snipping Tools, such as the ability to set
the snipping mode (Free Form, Rectangular, Window, or Full-Screen, as well as the important Delay option to allow you to get screen shots of popups, tooltips, and other transient screen elements.

Unless I'm missing something, those features are not in Snip & Sketch, am I right? The Snipping Tool has a message when you bring it up saying that "Snipping Tool is moving..." I hope that doesn't mean that it's going away.

 

Snip and Sketch Awkward

Use Windows+shift+s to launch Snip and Sketch. Can snip a screenshot.

Now the problem is this: after snipping the screen shot, it does not automatically appear in the Snip and Sketch app. So I open Snip and Sketch and there's nothing on it.

So I have choose 'new' and snip the screen yet again.

I recall using this once and taking a screenshot and voila! Snip and Sketch appeared with the screen shot duly in the app's workspace, ready for annotations and saving etc. This facility has disappeared. I have re-set it according to instructions, and even
reinstalled it - yet the problem persists.

Snip & Sketch keeps overriding clipboard

Here are the few steps you can try to fix the issue.

Method 1

Refer the article Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store
and try the suggested steps and check if the issue still persists. If the issue still persists try with the method 2.

Method 2

Reset Snip & Sketch app

1. Press Windows + I key and click on
   Apps.
   
2. Click on Apps & features. Select Sketch & Snip app from the available list of installed apps.
   
3. Click on Snip & Sketch > Advanced Options.
   
4. Click on Reset option.
   
5. Restart the computer once and check the status of the issue.
   
6. Let us know if the issue still persists.
