Windows 10: Snipping Tool

I have recently reinstalled windows. Before if I would use the hotkey "Windows-Shift-S" it would go white and let me drag and select an area and save it to my clipboard. Now if I do it instead of it being white it is grey, and when i try to take a snip it takes a good 5-6 seconds to save to my clipboard and before it would instantly save with the old snipping tool. is there any way to go back to the old one?

In Win10 type Snip into the search box in your primary monitor toolbar. Snipping Tool will show up at the top of the list.
