Windows 10: So did Microsoft delete Video Editor on Windows 10 and replace it with ClipChamp?

I can't use Video Editor anymore. I found Video editor on Windows 10 start up menu. But I can't open it. It opens up Photos. But there's no video editor on Photos. I can't find it in Photos. . What happened? Now, every time I want to make videos, I am forced to use ClipChamp.This "Windows forcing users to use new video editing software they bought since they dropped support on previous video editing software" happened before 10 years ago. In 2014, Microsoft shut down Movie Maker, and they forced Wndiows 7 Users to use Video Editor.

With the new update that removes Video Editor for Clipchamp, where will the unfinished videos in Video Editor go to?

I use Video Editor to work on various video projects for work. And while I have a copy of the finished videos, it is nice to have the unfinished version in the Video Editor library so that I can always go back and change the audio, add a frame, etc. My concern is that with this new update coming up, Microsoft is getting rid of Video Editor in favor of Clipchamp. Where will all my unfinished videos be stored now? Will they automatically transfer over to Clipchamp or is there a way to back up the unfinished file to then import into Clipchamp?

 

How can I transfer my projects from Windows 10 Video Editor to Clipchamp?

Thanks. Yes, I've read the help article. VPB files are not listed as supported, yet these are the files created when backing up Win 10 Video Editor projects. I can't find anything in relation to transfering incomplete video projects from Editor to Clipchamp
