    Napping computer

Since my computer upgraded to Windows 10, I have had the same issues over and over again that I did not have before the upgrade. I have spent hours on the phone with Microsoft uninstalling
and re-installing, 3 times in fact. The issue is that my computer is very slow to get into a functional state after being shut down or restarting. It also likes to nap after working for a while, very randomly. The only thing that will work during the nap
is the mouse, and that is hit and miss!! The mouse moves to the place that I take it, but sometimes has no impact. That stupid circle is going around and around beside the mouse. I can sometimes minimize the screen, but then it is stuck there. It remains
unresponsive for 10 - 15 minutes then wakes up and I can use it again. This can happen multiple times a day and is very frustrating as I waste too much time waiting for this to get past the napping phase. My computer is not overburdened with programs and
the fact that it did not act this way before Windows 10 upgraded itself, causes me to wonder if something in the upgrade is working against me. Anyone else with the same problems or a solution?

    Thank you!!

    How to turn NAP on?

Just open the Services applet (click Start, type services.msc in the Search box, and press Enter), scroll down to "Network Access Protection Agent" and double-click it, then click the "Start" button.

However, enabling the NAP service on a stand-alone computer will serve no purpose. NAP relies on both server and client components. To make the server components and client components work together, you must configure NAP settings on both the servers and
    the client computers.

    See
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_Access_Protection

Network Access Protection (NAP) is a Microsoft technology for controlling network access of a computer, based on its health.
With NAP, system administrators of an organization can define policies for system health requirements. Examples of system health requirements are whether the computer has the most recent operating system updates installed, whether
the computer has the latest version of the anti-virus software signature, or whether the computer has a host-based firewall installed and enabled. Computers with a NAP client will have their health status evaluated upon establishing a network connection. NAP
can restrict or deny network access to the computers that are not in compliance with the defined health requirements.

    Hi everyone,

I have just upgraded to windows 10. 802.1x is sending me to quarantine. When i check the requirements, NAP is missing. Is there a way to enable or install the NAP services on windows 10 ?

    Thanks
