i didn't even realise anything was blurry. was playing something fullscreen at 1080 (desktop is 4k, 200%) and win10 bounces up a notification asking me if i want to fix the blurring. you got a choice of yes, no, learn more. the learn more bit talks about 2nd screen... what?

I have been using my Windows 10 Pro x64 in 125% scaling mode. Up until now I did not have any problems with blurring. After update to 1803 a lot of applications became blurry. That includes Skype - the list became larger that before and blurry. That includes MS Word and MS Outlook (and all other office applications), which are now blurry (they have never been blurry before).

I see that 1803 made some changes that affect scaling/blurring. There's even a new option under Settings -> Display for advanced scaling settings that supposedly should help with the blur. But it doesn't. Regadless of the settings, the above applications are blurred.

So, how do I restore pre-1803 treatment of applications to eliminate the blur?

    :)

WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH AIRPLANE MODE

I have windows 10 retail build working on 3 computers and have no complaints.

You start a thread with a title but you do not mention anything about it in your post.

All you do is complain with out asking about anything.

This forum is made up of users not Microsoft engineers.

I got it several people has it. So tell me when are you going to stop using us as guinea pigs to get your product to work? Haven't we done enough for you to get this thing off the ground? Do you think that by giving us (shoving it down our throats) a
program you are entitled to do what you are doing? FIX THE DAMN THING!!!!!!!!

Um.. I have the latest already.

Actually, after experimenting for a while I found the solution. It's important to set scaling by opening "Advanced scaling settings" and manually typing-in the "Custom scaling" value, as opposed to setting the scale factor at the higher level in "Display" settings.

When scaling value is specified through "Advanced scaling settings", everything is sharp. This is apparently what is left of the classic XP-era scaling setting. I wonder what's the deal with the new mechanism and how come they can't make it work properly.

You can try and fix apps that are blurry. Go to settings and type blurr in the search box. Then toggle the switch for fix scaling.

I have my Dell Precision 3520 set to 115%. 100% is ideal, but things are too small when viewing the hospital's medical record system. 125% was too big unfortunately.
