Windows 10: Software issue limiting my microphone or blocking it.

I have tried everything online and on these forums yet nothing works. I know it is a software issue as I have tested this same headset with microphone on two different computers and it has worked perfectly fine one of which being mac the other being windows 11. For some reason just on this computer it doesn't work. Problem showed up around a week ago, thought the microphone was broken but tried it on other devices and it worked just fine. Over the past week I have tried everything, is there something wrong with my computer or do I have to go into the BIOs? That is the one thing I have not do

How do I limit an app's access to my microphone if that app is not even on the list of apps that are allowed to use the microphone but uses it anyway?

Here are the possible reasons why you're getting an error "The microphone did not pick anything up" when using it:

• Incorrect settings (microphone is not set as default device)
  
• Corrupted or outdated driver
  
• Faulty device
  

For us to isolate the issue, we'd like to know the following:

• Were there any changes made to your computer prior to this issue(e.g. Windows updates)?
  
• Have you tried connecting other microphone to your computer?
  
• Have you tried connecting the microphone to the other computer?
