    [SOLVED] Crashes, newly installed and no improvement


    1) Open file explorer > this PC > C: > in the right upper corner search for: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP
    2) zip the file > upload it to one drive or drop box > post a share link into the thread.
    The size of the file is approximately 735 MB

    There was 1 misbehaving hardware driver identified.

    1) Using device manager uninstall igdkmd.sys Intel Graphics drivers
    igfx igfx c:\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository\igdlh64.inf_amd64_bec09bfd2843417d\igdkmd64.sys
    igdkmd64.sys Tue Oct 17 20:39:02 2017 (59E6B0B6)

    2) Install new driver from the Asus website:
    ASUS ZenBook UX310UA Driver & Tools | Laptops | ASUS Global

    3) Run memtest86+ version 5.01 for at least 8 passes. Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
    This may take hours so plan to run it overnight.
    a) Please make sure you use the Memtest86+ version 5.01 with the link below.
    Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
    The testing is done not by time but by passes.
    The more passes the better.
    There are a significant number of false negatives if fewer than 8 passes are made.
    A false negative is a test pass when there is malfunctioning RAM.
    There is 8 GB of RAM on the computer.
    Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing takes approximately 1 - 2 hours /GB RAM
    Just 1 error is a fail and you can abort testing.
    b) When Memtest86+ has completed 8 or more passes use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture and post an image into the thread.

    4) In case replacement RAM is needed this is a quick method to get information as the website has a scanner:

    I could not get memtest86+ to run on my laptop, no matter what I did try. Instead memtest86 and here below the results.
    To me it looks I have to get an RMA for the 8 month old Zenbook.
    What do you think?

    Just 1 error indicates malfunctioning RAM.
    The computer only has 1 RAM module.
    New computers should not be having both RAM and driver problems.

    Update:
    A few days ago I received my RMA laptop back. Everything working flawlessly now.
    After asking ASUS I have been told that they replaced the motherboard.

    All I got told is that they replaced the MB, and by a second look right now, I believe incl. RAM. I had e-mailed them the result of the W10-test and Memtest results.
    Must say, the service has been prompt and I have been kept informed during the RMA.
