  1. [SOLVED] Problems with reactivating Windows 10 after hardware change

    Hey there,

My pc recently got quite a big upgrade (CPU, Motherboard, RAM, PSU) and I've been trying to re-activate my w10 ever since.

I followed the basic procedure by clicking "troubleshoot" at the activation panel and then on "I recently changed my hardware".

The first time I tried this, I had to log in with my windows account, to which my license is linked.

I got a blank page afterwards.

Every attempt ever since got me the message "Unable to reach the windows servers. Try again later." or "We can’t reactivate Windows on this device. Try again later."

I did not change any software after the hardware switch, so it is basically the same installation of windows.

Any suggestions to what I can do?

    Cheers in advance

EDIT: A technician from windows helped out and the slui3 code was the key

    :)

  3. win 10 motherboard change, reactivating windows

    Hi Famie,

If you are planning to change your motherboard, you will still be able to activate your Windows 10. In Windows 10 version 1607, there is a feature that you can link your Microsoft account to Windows 10 digital license on your device.
This can help you reactivate Windows using the Activation troubleshooter if you make a significant hardware change later, such as replacing the motherboard.

That being said, we suggest that you follow the steps given on this article
to reactivate your Windows 10 after a hardware change.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
