Windows 10: [SOLVED] Unable to shutdown fully? The fan keeps running

If highlight the red errors in the center of Event Viewer and to the right select Copy to Text, then paste into a notepad and post it here.

 

INTEL MEI Driver i can second this ...bloody retarded what they did with the drivers there..it can really screw laptop users over.

Its this little bugger who might be the issue downgrade to older driver right in there no need to go to intel website

oops i overlooked you already reinstalled windows 7 and still have the issue? Nevermind then.

Surely that is the clue here... have you tried contacting the SSD manufacturers helpline/forums to see if this is a known issue.

 

I said Event Viewer, not the BIOS. Think i said unless you recently went in there and made any changes to it, otherwise do not mess around in there unless you know how to change things.

 

I have an ASUS MB and if I release the power button after screen shuts down it restarts the system. I have to hold power button down until led and fans shut down.

 

Sometimes matters how it is set in Power Options in Control Panel for the Power Button to.

 

I have findled with the power nothing there

 

Some other possibilities is a software a running process is taking to long to close and is causing issues and preventing it from shutting down or as i might of said, hardware issues.Since went back to Win 7 still the same may point to hardware, unless same driver or software is doing this installed.

 

That is a way to "Force Shutdown." I do not recommend doing it! The error could be with the "Power Supply," too as that provides the Power to run the Fan and all the other Components.

 

PSU will not shut down until BIOS amd MB say so by cutting circuit to green wire in 20/24 pin.

 

YESS! I fixed my problem.

I reformated one more time without the HDD plugged and cleaned the other disk portion that appeared in the list.

Strange how this caused a shutdown problem, more of what would cause a boot up issue. GPT style partition is only supported in a UEFI BIOS. If one of the partitions had this, i wonder why. Clearer tutorial http://www.thewindowsclub.com/window...d-to-this-disk

I had multiple portion and when i cleaned i only had SSD left.

 

Mean Partitions and made it all unallocated on this SSD, removing all partitions, then meaning you did a clean install of Windows 10 ? Did you ever received that message from your youtube video ?
