Windows 10: Solved: Windows 10 BSOD

My previous thread of the same issue was on another laptop https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-10-keeps-crashing/a41e1f18-7bd6-495d-814d-4ea715e4985b. It is working fine right now. However, I have this issue on another laptop where the laptop crashes when I turn on the camera. I am using an external webcam as my internal one is not working. I use my webcam everyday and it works fine. A few months ago my laptop crashed when I opened the camera app. And today my laptop crashed in a skype call when I tried to turn on my camera. I think somethings wrong with the camera

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Random BSOD while browsing internet


BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.

In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.
