Windows 10: Some applications won't open after I left my laptop on all night

I had to leave my laptop on all night (whilst it was charging) because I was using a website on which you can't save things unless you pay for a membership, which I didn't want to do. So I could continue the next day, I left my laptop on all night.

This morning I logged onto my laptop and it all looked fine and the website was still open so my work didn't get deleted. However, when I had finished my work on that website, I wanted to open Netflix and it launched so you could see the Netflix logo but it just stayed on that screen. I tried to launch it a few times but the same thing continued to happen. I wanted to see if this was just a problem with Netflix or with the laptop so I tried to open Spotify a few times but everytime I tried, I got a "Spotify is not responding" pop-up. However, Google Chrome, Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer and most of my other apps are still working like normal. This problem has never happened before (and Netflix and Spotify were not on during the night). I'd be extremely grateful for any help.

thanks, I took it today to a... cellphone repair kind of store... they said something similar... if it works they will charge me 50 dols., if it does not work, they won´t charge me anything, so I guess it´s a good deal.

cortana won`t talk to me

• Check and verify if Cortana is activated?
• Does Cortana search and gives any output/result on screen?
• Is the Language and region settings set to valid value?
• Check and verify if Cortana available in your region?

Method 1:

I suggest you to try to turn Cortana off and then try turning it on back and check if she talks. Refer to the steps below to turn Off and On Cortana:

• Open Cortana.
• Click the hamburger button in the top left of the window.
• Go to Settings and click on off.
• Follow the same steps to turn it on.
• Check if issue persists.
